Company History

Founded in 1999, Yapstone, Inc. (parent company of InnPayment) is the largest electronic payments processor in the lodging industry. Through the vision of founders Tom Villante, Chairman of Yapstone, and Matt Golis, CEO, Yapstone was born. The idea was to create a payment processing company that for the first time would allow property managers to accept credit cards and E-checks with better transaction detail reporting than traditional merchant service providers. In 2005, Yapstone acquired eRentPayer, an electronic rent payment company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, Yapstone's processing platform has expanded to support check scanning with Check 21 for payments collected onsite in addition to those processed online.
